I began my love for taking photos as a Sales/Advertising representative at The Cape Cod Chronicle newspaper in 1998. As a sales representative we were required to take our own shots for use in advertisements. I then began to go to events for the paper taking photos that were published of people and places. I continue to work for the paper, so pick up a copy or check us out online and you may see an image or two of mine.
My plan was to explore my creative side when I retired, but in 2013 I had a tumor removed and decided at that point I was not going to wait till I retired and delved head first into working on my skills. I joined the Cape Cod Art Association and the Cape Cod Camera Club.
One of my pieces was accepted into the Cape Cod show at the Cape Cod Art Association in Barnstable in 2014 and many pieces have received ribbons in the camera clubs contests. I have advanced from beginner to advanced in the club. I continue to work on my skills with the help of master photographers.
I have done public relations projects for local non-profits like The Family Pantry of Cape Cod and covered events like Chatham Airport’s Open House where many of my shots have been published in other publications and online. I am also an administrator of Facebook pages for a few retail establishments in Harwich.
I designed a Christmas card called Holiday Doors of Harwich where all the net proceeds were donated to The Family Pantry of Cape Cod. Many of my photos and photo products are for sale in a co-op spot at Hattie D’s Gift Shop at 390 Route 28 in Harwich Port. Some other local shops also carry my products like Sativa, and Harwich Frame Shop in Harwich Port and the Cape Cod Chronicle in Chatham.
I am evolving and hope to continue to hone my skills and produce fun products. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoyed producing it.
Check out my images available as framed photos, mounted wall art, coasters, cards and even custom orders.
